"In the N. W. is a small rath in low ground…in the south side is the summit of a heigh hill commanding an extensive prospect from this hilll the townland takes its name. Round this summit is an eliptical piece of ground enclosed by a ditch and bank said by teh inhabitants of the country to have been made by the Danes."
