Tá réadú soiléir ar buaile seachas baile le sonrú san fhianaise luath. Ní léir brí bheacht corr- anseo.
Ainmneacha stairiúla:
Ainm ceathrún ab ea é seo, arbh alias dó 1608 ‘Glanmille’, 1608/9 ‘Glanmylle’, 1609 ‘Glanmille’ < Gleann Míol/Míl (?) “glen of (the) animal(s)” (féach www.dil.ie s.v. 1 míl). Ní léir cén gleann nó gleanntán a bheadh i gceist. B’fhéidir gur cheart clann “descendants” a léamh anseo (cf. Clann Con Maí, Clann Chearúill, Clann Mhurchú, Clann Mochua (?) mar ainmneacha eile ar sheancheathrúna na barúntacht).Mionainmneacha ar an léarscáil:
Thuas ar an gcnoc ach faoi bhun Crabtree Farm SO atá an fo-bhaile ar a dtugtar 1823 ‘Corrigan’ i Leabhar na nDeachúna < An Carraigín “the little rock”.
