"Pinkman Faithche = A green plain, a sporting green. In front of the ‘dun’ or ‘lios’ there was, generally, a large level green plot, called faithche, which was used for athletic exercises, games, and the reception of visitors. From this, the term was extended to mean any exercise ground. Fahy is on the east shore of Lough Allen, in Ballinagleragh Parish. There is an old burial ground in this townland, which in olden times was called Killbeoy – Cill Beoaidh. Cill-Beo-Aedh, Ardcarne Saint "

"Arch. Inventory: Church (site). In a low-lying position at the E shore of Lough Allen. Associated with St Beo Aodh, it may be the site of the medieval parish church of the detached portion of Drumreilly. A ruined church called ‘Cill Voy’ and a graveyard are depicted on Larkin’s map of 1817. A rectangular graveyard containing 19th and 20th century graves is enclosed by a masonry wall, but there is no evidence of a church (180). "
