Compare Gort-an-Chochaill (Hogan, Onomasticon). …The River Diffagher flows on its west and south boundaries. Perhaps the place got its name from fishing nets. Killycoghill in Co. Monaghan, Joyce translates ‘wood of the net,’ and suggests that a net make may have lived there "
