"Pinkman: Seiseadh = A sixth part or portion The term seiseadh, as a measure of land, was common in Ulster and in North Connaught. It meant the sixth part of an old townland. The full name of the townland was Sessiaghnagoula, Seiseadh-na-nGuala, that is, apparently the sixth part of Gulladoo (see Gulladoo). The Down Survey writes the name Sessiaghnegawlw, and a Royal Commission Report of 1821-1825 has Sessiaghnegoule, alias Sessiaghnegouly. The place was, also, named Sessiaghnagappul, Seiseadh-na-gCapall – indicating, I suppose, a grazing place for horses. "
