n/a
"Pinkman: Leath-Bhairghín = Half a cake, literally, but here to denote a semi-circular piece of land. A district or a piece of land with a circular shape was sometimes called a bairgín; if it were semi-circular in shape it was named leath-Bhairghín. Compare bairgín-breac or barreenbrack, barmbrack of Hallow Eve. There is Barreen, Bairghín, in Co. Kildare, and Lavareen, leath-bhairghín, in Co. Clare and Co. Mayo. "
