Clerhy
The townland is called Clerhy (Cloirigh) meaning the stony place. Certainly it is stony enough. There are five sections - Clery, Ballinamona, Mullagh, Derrybeg and Tooratslieve. Ballinamona (Baile na Móna) is so called from the bog in it.
