Explanatory note

  • Gaeilge

Is aistriúchán í an fhoirm Ghaeilge.
Móin Uí Dhubhthaigh, 'bogland of Ó Dubhthaigh (sloinne)', is dócha, an t-ainm Gaeilge atá le feiscint in iontrálacha 1412–1685. Níorbh ionann teorainn don áit úd agus don bhaile fearainn seo, áfach.

  • English

The Irish form is a translation.
The Irish form seen in entries 1412–1685 is probably Móin Uí Dhubhthaigh, 'bogland of Ó Dubhthaigh (surname)'. The boundaries of that place were not identical with the present townland, however.
