[Drumcrow]
"One ancient fort in this townland. There is a well beside this fort, in which it is said trout have been seen about 20 years ago, only by one person which makes this statement doubtful. The water must have some remarkable property as one of the inhabitants stated he saw a dog jump into the well and before it reached the bottom it was dead. The water having been tasted, and is considered nothing more than spring water." [Desc. Rem.];
