6320 (5125.) Livery to Francis Shane, son and heir of Nicholas Shane, late of Loughsewdye, gent. Fine £13 13s. ±d. for intrusion, and 20s. for livery. Recites an inquisition taken, 4 Jan., 1597, finding that Nich. Shane died, 6 Jan., 1556, seised of the lands of Mullaghcloe, Knockannegan, Clontigarye, Corrypoble, Mullaghneidwre, Ballihuge alias Killare, Rathcarragh, Unimoe, Gortnedohie, Clorran, Bealanenesallasagh, and Correreogh, in co. Westmeath, (four cartrons making a carucate) ; and that lady Margaret Bath alias Le Straunge, widow of Tho. Le Straunge, and formerly wife of Nich. Shane, entered into and continues to hold a third part in right of dower.—
