"there is a considerably large river on its northern boundary and two cahers in this townland...A fort in this townland called Lissnavargoram, a fort called Lisshanaway, the ruins of once an excellent house called Shanaway House, formerly the residence of Maurice Barrett Esqr, a small bridge on the boundaries of this townland and Knockanalluban called Aughavina Bridge, on a small river called Aughavina.
