Con.51a “Another hosting was made by O’Donnell into Connaught. He crossed the Erne and marched unti he arrived at Ros-Inbhir. From thence he went to Cill-Fhearga.” Four Masters AD, 1595. O’Donovan states in his Letters that the ruins of an old church were in Killarga townland, that there was a holy well there, called St. Mary’s Well, and that there was stone cross about four feet high near this well. "

"LSO: Killargy Parish is called Cill-Fhearga. This Kill-Fearga is mentioned at the year 1593 by the Four Masters. In Killargy Townland are the ruins of an old Church. There is also a well in it called Tobar Muire, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Near it stands a stone Cross about four feet high. I could not learn who the Patron Saint is. I should think that from the name of the well the Patron Day of the Parish must have been Lady’s Day.” 134/264-5 "
