"The west side is a hanging knoll over the valley called 'Glen De[n]g'* & is planted. Near the S.W. corner is an ancient fort. It is all enclosed by a wall and unfit for cultivation. *I know no more about this name; but that it is so called by the country inhabitants." [Desc. Rem.];
