Measaimid go bhfuil an bunús céanna leis an ainm seo is atá le par Cluain Dá Thorc (#2014) (UF), in ainneoin nóta an Donnabhánaigh (1838). Tagann dá thorc “of two boars” i gceist mar cháilitheoir i logainmneacha eile (samplaí le fáil i Liatroim, Muineachán, Cabhán agus Baile Átha Cliath).
Mionainmneacha ar an léarscáil:
- Ar theorainn thuaidh an bhaile fearainn a ritheann abh Abhainn Easa “river of (the) waterfall” (#116477), abhainn choigríche idir Laoighis agus Uí Riagáin [= bar. Thigh na hInse], dúiche in Uí Fhailghe.
- Ag an bpointe thiar thuaidh den bhaile fearainn anseo atá 1805 ‘The Cat Hole, a Cataract 10 Feet Deep’ Cahill, 1841 Cat Hole SO (< *Poll an Chait), an t-eas a thug ainm don abhainn más fíor don eolas a fuair Ó Donnabháin in 1838 (Litreacha na Suirbhéireachta Ordanáis I 201).
