The name Kilcurfin is puzzling.
Probably it is the equivalent of the popular Irish designation Cill Coraichín - "Church of the Little Swamp". ... separated from the cemetery by only a few yards, he will see, in the spring, pond and boggy patch, a survival of the original morass ... the field adjoining the cemetery to the north is named Labán, i.e. puddle
