Nóta (ríomhphost): In the period 1819 to 1839 the Roman Catholic Parish of Castlemaine recorded 2 marriages and 20 baptisms in which a person was identified as being from Killeenardnasack, a named area within the townland of Gortaleen (litir 2014) There is no burial ground in Gortaleen Townland, Civil Parish of Kilgarrylander. The Catholic people of the townland of Gortaleen are buried in the earlier burial ground for the Catholic Parish of Keel, Old Keel Graveyard with ruins of an ancient church, many interred there without tombstones.
