Milk-Isle
Bricks used to be made at the Milk-Isle (which is beside the Port, Letterkenny.) by Mr. S. Baird. These bricks were made out of clay, and then they were put into a big hole. Water was put on them and they were tramped. Then they were put into moulds which shaped them. Then they were left out to dry. The bricks were put up into kilns and burned, and after this they were ready for use.
