An Seabhac: Cnoc a’Lisín Tá an ainm sin imithe ar dearmhad beagnach. Freemount a thugann cách anois air. An bf. seo le hais an bhf. Stagmount (Cnoc a’Charrfhiaidh) agus tá an deallramh ar an scéal gur chuir duine gallda éigin dá dheoin ainmneacha Béarla ortha seachas a raibh d’áiteanna eile an pharóiste – duine de na leath-uaisle b’fhéidir. Ach níl insint scéil cad as a tháinig an bunús ó dtáinig “Freemount”. Nach deallrathach le “cnuicín fraoich” nó “fraoich-chnoc” é – má bhí a leithéid d’ainm riamh air. Cá háit a bhí i gceist ag an s[c]anallach san amhrán “An Cnuicín Fraoigh” [recte M. Ó Súilleabháin, D. na Bolgaighe 120?] Diarmaid Cróinín – Cnoc a’Lisín Sa chúinne thiar theas den bhf. so tá sean-reilig agus iarsma sean-eaglaise a bhaineann ó cheart le cnoc a’chapaill – an bf. ‘na aice.
