An Seabhac: Gort an Átháin Buidhe Thoir/Thiar Áthán = Áth Beag. Buidhe = Cré buidhe is dócha san áit nó san uisce. Tá amhras ann, ámh, gur le ‘gort’ a bhaineann an ‘buidhe’ atá san ainm agus mar sin gur ‘b’ gan séimhiú ba cheart ann. Tá sean-ghaedhilgeoirí tearc san áit anois agus ní feidir an poinnte a phromhadh. Lisín na Muc sa chuid thuaidh den bhf. so. Ainmneacha eile i mbf. Ghort an Átháin Buidhe: Cnoc Uí Argáin – sa Bhéarla “Mount Horgan”, Gort na gCloch, Ceann Iarthach, The Bower.
