In the Townland of Monument Farm ...
In the Townland of Monument Farm on a round hill which commands a fine prospect of the adjacent country, stands a monumental tower, in which the second last of the Earls of Kerry lies interred. This monument occupies the site of a church called Kilbinnaun, ie the Church of St. Benignus, from which the townland now called Monument Farm was formerly called Kilbinnaun, and which ought to be it’s name still as the monument is not a century old.”
