"Pinkman: Crom-ghlinn = Curved or crooked glane. This townland is in the parish of Ballinamore, about 3 miles north west of Ballinamore town. O’Donovan states that St. Patrick blessed a well in this townland, and that is was near an old chapel, which was destroyed by a torrent from Slieve-an-Ierin. (Letters on Leitrim, page 98). "

"Arch.Inventory: Cliff-edge fort. At the outer edge of a shelf of rock outcrop on a S-facing slope (35). Rath. On the floor of a NE-SW valley (77). Holy well. At the roadside on the E side of Castlerogy stream. A crude setting of stones defines a small well, known locally as St Patrick’s Well, beneath a large tree. It is dry and no longer venerated (188). "LSO: “There are also in the Parish two sacred springs blessed by Saint Patrick; one in the Town-land of Crom-Ghleann, near an old Chapel which was destroyed by a torrent from Slieve-an-Ierin and the other in the Town-land of what the Country people call Cnoc an Fhiadh. I incline to think that the Townland of Cromlin may have been the place where Crom Cruach stood…” (98/205) "
