"Pinkman: Cor-bhaile nó Cor-buaile, round hill of the milking. Odd-shaped townland. This name was sometimes written Corbooley, - Corboly, Inquisition, October 1631, at Jamestown, and some local people will point out, where the cows were gathered together to be milked. Yet O’Donovan makes the name Cor-bhaile – written, too, in very old documents – Curbuly. Personally I am in favour of Cor-buaile. "
