"Pinkman: Druim-Shealbhaigh = Shalwy’s ridge. The name Sealbhaigh is common in the Annals. “Henry O’Sealbhaigh, the best singer of the Irish in Leath Chuinn died this year.” Annals of Ulster, AD 1488. It is now usually made Shelly or Shealy. Drumhalwy lies about half a mile south of Drumshanbo. The Canal from Lough Allen runs through portion of it. "
