"Pinkman: Coill-Easa-na-nUbhall, Wood of the cataract of the apple trees. O’Donovan makes this Coille-Sean-Ubhaill; but incorrectly, I believe, for two reasons. (1) The local pronunciation of the English name is quite at variance with such an Irish rendering. And (2) the name is written in a Royal Commission Report of 1821-1825 Killessenowle, Killassnenowle, alias Killessnanowle. "
