"Pinkman: There are three townlands named Drumduff in Co. Leitrim. Drumduff near Drumshanbo [=Drumduff North] – this is Druim-Damh, ridge of the oxen, Drosum Boum (O’Donovan). And there cannot be any doubt about its correctness from the way the name is pronounced locally even now. Drumduff half a mile north west of Sheemore Hill and in Kiltoghert Parish [= Drumduff South]. This Druim-Dubh, black ridge. "
