"Pinkman: Srath-Cumair = Holm of the confluence. Cumar is applied to the place where rivers or streams meet. Compare Clooncumber, in Gortletteragh Parish, where the rivers Rinn and Blackwater meet – Cluain-Cumair, the meadow of the confluence. The term is sometimes applied to a tract of land consisting of highlands and valleys. Cummer is sometimes made Cumber and Camber. (Compare the Latin conferre). [2 Sracummers] At both these places there is a confluence of rivers. "
