"Pinkman: Doire-na-himirce = Wood of the migration or departure. Some unusual migrating that is otherwise long forgotten. In this townland there is a holy well called Tobar-Molaise, St. Molaise’s Well, and here, according to tradition, stood the house and church of O’Meehin, Coarb of St. Molaise. "

"Arch. Inventory: Holy well. Towards the bottom of an E-facing slope in the Ballagh river valley. Known as ‘Tober Molaise’ and described as a holy well where cures were performed and pilgrims left a cairn of stones (188). Mass-rock (site). In the gorge of the Glennaniff River at a place known as Poll an Aifrinn, but it cannot be precisely located (196). "
