"Pinkman: Cill-Uí-Mhithighein = O’Meehin’s church or burial place. This townland is in the parish of Killasnet, about 3 miles west north west of Manorhamilton. An old local commentary on the name and place was a burial place named from some of the Mihans.” O’Meehan was the corab of St. Molaise at a church near a pass called from his name, Bealach-Uí-Mhithighein. (O’Donovan Letters). In a letter from Sligo, O’Donovan wrote later “In a former letter I fell into an error respecting the two Termons in the Parish of Rossinver, having stated that the Coarb O’Meehin had his house and church at Rossinver. The fact was otherwise. There were two Termons, lying to the south of Rossinver, one of these, comprising 16 cartrons of land, was called the Termon of Rossinver, and of this O’Fergus was the Coarb; the other was called Bealach-Uí-Mhithighein, and lay eastward (?)
