"Pinkman: Coill-Dhá-thorc = wood of the wild boar The Down Survey has Killahorke and Killahork. But a Royal Commission Report of 1821-1825 writes the name Killdahurke, alias Coyledahorke. These latter forms point to the Irish Coill-dá-Thorc as the true form – ‘wood of the two boars.’ Killahurk is a large townland beside Carrigallen. Part of it was once a separate townland – Gortnavannoge, Gort-na-bhFeanóg, field of the scaldcrows… Compare Cloonyhurk, beside Portarlington, written by Four Masters, AD 1389, Cluain-dá-thorc. "
