Beileog – Irish form of the Anglo-Norman surname Bellew (also Bedlow, Bedlew).
The surname was Gaelicised in the same way in the parish of Trim cf. Baile Bheileog / Bellewstown (#38921). Note however that it was Gaelicised as An Beileogach in other areas cf. Baile an Bheileogaigh / Bellewstown (#1414633).
