Charlie Fenton pronounced Stranahely as spelled, Strana'healy'. He said he often heard it called 'Strana'haly', lile 'Tina-haly'; that was what the lower classes called it, but 'Stranahely' was the right pronunciation. It was often called 'Shrana-haly. 'Lo'bawn' he pronounced as spelled. Pollaghadoo he called 'the Pollagha-doos' (main stress on the last syllable). (408)
