[Burren]
"There is a large open space between two perpendicular lime stone rocks called by the inhabitants the 'Giant's Leap', near which there is [sic] a number of freestone slabs erected on their ends and covered with others on the top called the 'Giant's Grave'. In the interior there is some bones, particularly teeth, which are not fallen to decay: there is also another building of the same kind near the centre of the townland, both of which are supposed to be druidical altars."
