Cf.'"the Oconghors of Ofaly and of Erth" (1376); "Lysagh Ferison [O Conor] of the nation of Hyrth" (1394) [JKAS IV 437]. O Connor of this territory was later known as Mac Muiris. An inq. of 1551 tells us that Oyne mc Morishe forfeited his three castles (Tinnakill, Morett, Derrygile) and all his lands "in the lordship of Erry" [JKAS IV 438], now in pars.
