Mangartach, an
"The first part of this name may be mang, 'a fawn' or mong, 'mane'; cf. in Mangartach mongruadh, l. 319). The more usual Irish form for Mangerton Mt. is Mangarta, gen. Mangartan…But an Mangartach Locha Lein occurs in the Annals of Connacht, while the unusual genitive in mullach na Mangartaigh (l. 338) is aLSO to be found in Agallamh na Seanórach: Gleann na Mangartaigh ós Loch Léin."
