(Díol spéise é a chur i gcomparáid leis an logainm béarlaithe bf Parknakyle < Páirc an Choill (?) (#3444) ní rófhada ó bhaile i gCeatharlach.)

    1. Mionainm eile anseo timpeall ab ea 1561 ‘Askynetoran’ < Easca na Teorann “the gully, stream of the boundary”; ba dhóigh leat go dtagródh a leithéid do shruthán an chontae ar imeall thiar an bhaile fearainn a ritheann isteach sa Deighnín ó dheas.
