Killyan in the Liber Regalis Visit...from which it may be safely inferred that it is the same as the Killion in Meath, and the Killian in the King’s County near SerKeiran. If so it means the cell or church of St. Liedania, the mother of St. Keiran of Saigir. She is now always called St. ellen or St. Helen this barony...In the townland of Killiane there is a holy well at which patterns were held annually, but I could not learn on what day. It was abolished about 30 years since.
