Tiarnas Mhic Mhuiris ab ea Oireadh, ainm dúiche ar leith a mhaireann mar ainm paróiste (#1415) ach a chlúdaigh Cúil Bheannchair freisin fadó (cf. 1558 ‘Leix, Ophaly, Irre, Glynmalyry’ F 32; 1563c ‘Eri’, ‘Clanmalir’ Cotton Map ). Ní ba dhéanaí d’áirítí paróiste Oiridh mar chuid de pharóiste Chúil Bheannchair sa chóras gallda. Féach ainm an bhaile fearainn bf Port na hInse (#28453) i bparóiste Oiridh.
