    Suite ar leirg thiar Shliabh an Fhosaidh (Fossy Mountain SO). Forbairt choitianta foghraíochta é an /tl/ > /kl/ atá le feiscint anseo, e.g. 1540 ‘Ballyneclewe’, 1606 ‘Ballineclew’. Cf. bf Tuaim an tSleamháin (#28189).

    Siolla amháin atá san eilimint deiridh (1540 ‘-clewe’, 1549 ‘-tle’, etc.) toisc go ndeachaigh bh- caol idirghuthach ar ceal. Tá samplaí de seo le fáil ar fud an deiscirt, e.g. 1611 ‘Ballintlev’, 1622 ‘Ballintlea’ faoi bf Baile an tSléibhe/Ballinclea in oirdheisceart Bhaile Átha Cliath (#57113).
