"Pinkman: Druim-Ui-hArcain = Harkin’s Bridge. Dorsum Harcani (O’Donovan). The clann Arcain were a branch of the Conmaicne Rein (Book of Fenagh). Drumharkin townland, ¼ mile south east of Fenagh, was formerly part of the Termon lands of the ancient abbey. There is, also, Drumharkin townland in Cloone Parish, about a mile south of the village, which O’Donovan makes Druim-Dhearcain, ridge of the acorns. This is strange, particularly, as he must have been aware that an old interpretation of the name was ‘Harkin’s Back.’ He would hardly have adopted this form without some local information. It is doubtful if it were reliable. "

Holy well. ‘St. Creigharee’s Well.’ At the bottom of a W-facing slope, in a triangular field with mature deciduous trees. A small, dry, shallow opening defined by stones. A cairn is adjacent to NW, and a concrete shrine erected in 1950 is surmounted by a concrete cross and has a niche with statues. A pattern was held on the last Sunday in July, called ‘Garlic Sunday’, until c. 1860 when it was transferred to the well at Kiltoghert (189)."
