Killagha or Kilcolman in Kilcolman parish, the site of a well-known religious house, shown clearly in the Magunihy map as a large roofed building and already mentioned in sect. 44 above. About four hundred paces to the West of this Church [Kilcolman] are the ruins of the Abbey of Killagh which belonged to the order of the Canons Regular of St. Augustin, and was founded by Geoffry de Marisco in the reign of Henry III. No part of this Abbey now remains but the Abbey Church but it appears from the many fragments of walls on the South side that it was very extensive. It is highly probable that this is the Cill Achaidh Conchenn of the ancient Irish.
